TCF medical mission, Community Healthcare in February 2018.

IIn February the TCF Medical team performed medical trips to Nam Đông, Hương Thủy, and Phú Lộc of Thừa Thiên Huế, Việt Nam. We
served 800 patients  through examinations, treatments and dispensing drugs and donating gift package to the patients valued 30 USD that included
medicine, rice, milk, blanket, warm  jackets, soap and dried foods.

Vào tháng Hai năm 2018, The Compassion Flower đã thực hiện chuyến khám bịnh ở Nam Đông, Phú Lộc và Hương Thủy. Chúng tôi đã phục
vụ khám bệnh và phát  thuốc cho 800 bệnh nhân. Ngoài ra mỗi bệnh nhân đều được nhận 1 phần quà trị giá 30 USD gồm gạo, sữa, bột nêm, xà
phòng, dầu gió và dầu nóng, tiền và chăn  mền.

TCF Spring Mission - March - 2016

Part of the Spring mission, The Compassion Flower has distributed gift packages to 300 poor families and 100 children in the tribal Village Thuong Long of Thua Thien
Hue in March 2016. Thanks for the supports of generours donors and volunteers.

TCF Medical Mission - March - 2016

TCF - Disaster Relief- Hổ Trợ Ngư Dân - June 2016

In the first week of June – 2016, TCF organized an emergency disaster relief mission to support the families that were affected by the dead fish  
washed onto the shores of the coastal villages of central of Vietnam during the period from April – to June 2016.
Vào tuần đầu của tháng Sáu, 2016, sau bao nhiêu nỗ lực và kiên nhẫn, TCF đã thực hiện được chương trình cứu trợ những gia đình ngư dân bị  
ảnh hưỡng thủy nạn, ở vùng duyên hải và phá Tam Giang của tỉnh Thừa Thiên Huế. Số ngư dân bị ảnh hưởng lên đên mấy ngàn gia đình nhưng  
vì kinh phí hạn hẹp, TCF chỉ có thể giúp được 400 gia đình trong chuyến đâu tiên. Mong rằng với sự giúp đỡ của quí vị, TCF sẽ có cơ hội thực  
hiện được những chuyến cứu trợ tiếp theo.
Chúng tôi xin chân thàng cảm ơn qúi vị ân nhân đã nhanh chóng tạo điều kiện cho TCF được kịp  thời thực hiện được chuyến cứu trợ này

TCF - Flood Disaster Relief - Quang Binh, October 2016

Quảng Sơn is one of the mountainous communities of Ba Don district, Quang Binh province that was hit by the massive flooding in October 2016.  
Quảng Sơn is a farming village, crop and livestock are the two main productions that provide a significant source of income for the inhabitants. The  
flood disaster has caused massive losses of livestock, property and farming products in Quang Son. On Sunday 23/10/2016 TCF traveled to Quang  
Sơn to distributed gifts to 470 families, each gift package worth VND 570.000 which includes cash, 10kgs rice, 1 box of instant noodles,  
confectionery, medicine, soap and blankets for the elderly and children. TCF sincerely thank the donors for your support to TCF’s disaster relief  
programs

Medical Mission - April, 2017

Medical trip to remote communities: TCF has performed medical trips to the remote areas where health care is underserved or difficult to obtain. We
served patients through examinations, treatments and dispensing drugs and donating gift package to the patients valued 30 USD that included
medicine, rice, milk, blanket, warm jackets, soap and dried foods. The number of patients being served in 2017 reached 1030. Through these
missions, many patients with life-threatening illnesses and many human trafficked survivors were found. Along with medical missions, we also
carried out a series of community healthcare awareness programs. We conducted training on various health and hygiene matters, women, and
children in remote villages. Our efforts helped the communities to see the link between health and hygiene conditions in their area for better health
and better quality of life.

Environmental programs (installing Hand Dug Wells and building toilets)

In 2017, we installed 5 new, repaired 2 groundwater hand-dug wells and replaced 4 water pumps in the remote villages of central Viet Nam,  
where the water resource is very limited. This project enables local people to have access to clean water. As a result, the residents there are less  
prone to water-related diseases and illnesses. The well-water is delivered to pipes going to homes directly from a pump. The water from well is
also  an excellent water source for farming and raising livestock.
Disaster Relief 2017

In the first week of Jan – 2017, TCF organized an emergency disaster relief mission to of Quang Dien and Phu Vang to support 500 Flood
victim in December 2016.  In November 2017. TCF support victims of the flood disaster due to the torrential rains of the Demery typhoon
along with water released from the hydroelectric dam. We distributed gift packages to 700 families in coastal villages of Phong Dien and Phu
Loc, Thua Thien-Hue.  Each package includes rice, cash, blanket, condensed milk, valued 30 USD.

supporters, donors and all members for your hard works, support and generous donation to The Compassion Flower (NGO) in the financial year
of 2017.
Your generous support has directly benefited many needy families and individuals. Our works not only to meet essential daily needs for the poor
but also work toward a brighter future with several programs. These programs include job training; education; self-empowerment; anti-human
trafficking; elderly assistant; medical assistant; groundwater dug wells to provide clean water, as well as hygiene and clean environment programs
for better health in remote areas of Viet Nam. Among 80% of the population in remote areas of Viet Nam, who are susceptible to hard times,
children and the elderly are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of clients we serve.

Support Children with serious illness in  the year 2017

From May 2017 with generous fund donated by Dr. Hoang Trang and the 16 singers and musicians from Australia. TCF has been providing
monthly aids to 22 terminal illness children for their medicine and food expenses. Each child received 50 USD/month.  Apart, we also donated
1500 USD to 6 children who encountered unexpected accidents in the year 2017.

Education
The Scholarship programs: TCF determines to achieve breakthroughs in education for children by helping the needy children to complete high school or apprenticeship programs.
We have granted scholarships, donated bicycles, uniforms, and school stationeries to 1230 underprivileged students in remote villages of Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Quang
Nam for the academic year 2018-2019.  Scholarships for students are from 50 USD to 150USD for tuition; some destitute students are also provided a supplemental 15 dollars
per month for food.
Self-empowerment programs

TCF provides economic tools, a basic education, to improve the life of underprivileged women in the remote communities of Central Vietnam. Our women self-empowerment
program includes Education, Skills training, Income Generation, and Anti-Human Trafficking Prevention  

Income Generation:
We purchased more equipment (sewing machines, sewing tools) and subsidies daily lunch for disabled women, human trafficked survivors and young girls who attended the sewing
training sections. This project gives them additional tools to achieve both financial and self-empowerment.  The completed products like blankets and warm clothes have been
donated to the children and old people in remote villages. The handicraft products are sold to local shops or private companies in Vietnam.

Adult Literacy classes:
TCF has organized two classes for 40 men and women (age from 25 to 55, whereas some of them are labor trafficking survivors) in remote villages of T. T Hue. Each class is
operated for ten months in a year.

Anti-Human Trafficking Campaigns:
In the year 2018, TCF cooperated with the local Women Union to organize several anti-human trafficking campaigns. The attendees had the opportunity to learn how to identify the
traffickers, and the nature of HT crime in forms of sexual and labor exploitations, and organ trading

In 2018, we built 2 toilets + bathrooms and repaired 1 toilet for old people in
the remote community of Central Vietnam.
Winter Relief
Warm Jacket and blankets: TCF donated 1000 blankets, 800 warm jackets, 300 raincoats to children, elderlies in remote communities of Thua Thien Hue.
Support Children with serious illness

From May 2017 with charitable fund donated by Dr. Hoang Trang and 16 singers, musicians in Australia. TCF has been provided monthly aids to 47 terminal illness children in
Hue Central Hospital (22 in 2017 and 25 this year) for their medicine and food expenses. Each child received 50 USD/ month.
Warm Winter

n February and April 2017, we donated warm jackets and blankets to 600 underserved children in the remote villages of central Vietnam.
